We have something different today: a portrait shoot! Last week we had the opportunity to work with V and the amazing prairie fields in Culver City. Single portrait sessions are a great way to capture you and just you. Remember those black and white studio portraits of your mom when she was young and gorgeous with large wavy curls and even larger bell bottoms? A great sense of nostalgia kicks in when I see my mom look at her early twenties photos and those are the feelings that will last a lifetime.

One of the many perks of Sun Swept Studio is we love traveling to hidden gems like Culver City overlook to capture you in a natural backdrop. We do a lot of scouting to find places that will be fun and gorgeous to shoot.

I met V a couple of years ago at a Broker Forum that we managed every month when we worked for an investment firm. It’s only been a few years but so much has changed. I’m so grateful we’ve still remain good friends after all these years. For this shoot, I wanted to incorporate her rocker style with my boho vintage flare but V told me she’s been feeling more carefree and wanted a softer feminine look. Perfect! Her flawless skin and powerful eyes made me shutter a bit, right?
